Spike TV will once again offer mixed martial arts fans a look at select preliminary bouts when it airs live under card action from the upcoming UFC 111: “St. Pierre vs. Hardy” pay-per-view on March 27 from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.

UFC welterweight stars Matt Brown and Ricardo Almeida will bring their bout to the airwaves alongside the 155-pound scrap between Nate Diaz and Rory Markham.

Fans were treated to one hour of uninterrupted mixed martial arts competition a few weeks back when Melvin Guillard collided with Ronys Torres in a lightweight showdown and fellow 155-pounders Mac Danzig and Justin Buccholz got busy on the UFC 109: “Relentless” undercard on Feb. 6.

While the broadcast scored a series high 1.7 million viewers for a 1.2 household rating, the network was ahead of schedule for its 2010 allotment of Prelim specials and opted to pass on last Saturday night’s UFC 110: “Nogueira vs. Velasquez” event from Sydney.
